International star Priyanka Chopra has sued diamantaire Nirav Modi for non-payment of dues. The news surfaced after Modi has been named in the biggest scam of over Rs 11,000 crore fraud in the Punjab National Bank. The Quantico star shot an ad for the Modi jewel brand along with actor Sidharth Malhotra. It may be noted here that, even Sidharth wants to cut off his ties with Modi and is looking out for legal options to cancel the remaining commercial to keep his image clean.
The diamond jeweler Nirav has big shots of clientele not in Bollywood but also Hollywood A listers Kate Winslet and Dakota Johnson.
The PNB fraud has taken the country by storm which shows fraudulent siphoning at its Mumbai branch. The three firms – Diamonds R Us, Solar Exports, and Stellar Diamonds earned profit from the scam and the accused and his family members are partners in the aforementioned companies.
