Poster Talk: Where two worlds collide

This February we saw Pressure Cooker directed by Sujoi Karampuri and Sushil Karampuri. The duo have now finalised Ningi Nela Thake Vela as the title of their next movie and the poster had been released recently. The poster has a girl who is feeding a squirrel, her bright coloured bangles give us a glimpse of her personality. Orange denotes sunshine, happiness, creativity and the colour of the squirrel is orange. The directors have advertised in the poster that they are hiring screenwriters and dialogue writers.

Sujoy Karampuri without revealing much, describes the plot to Klapboardpost.com, “It is where two worlds collide’. It is about two different ideas on romance, love, relationships. The girl has certain ideas and it has been taken over from books, mainstream movies which we see, etc. The boy has a dismissive view of her notion which he thinks she has is romantic and unrealistic. She on the other hand thinks he is uninspiring and not passionate. They live in two different worlds of what they think is romance and relationships.”

He further says, “According to her he is very pragmatic and she according to him is in a fantasy world, the squirrel alludes to fantasy. How do they come together? When they first meet, they go through fun moments but the idea is to discover themselves. In the end, it is a reluctant discovery. She doesn’t want to learn it from him and she does and vice versa. They have changed their personalities and world views, but things are not the same. She was in school when she first saw him and thinks he is elderly. The story travels through time and it is episodic. The poster is about one of the episodes of the movie but the squirrel symbolises her world. Casting has not yet begun.”
