Pushpa 2, the sequel to the massive hit Pushpa: The Rise, has made a remarkable impact at the box office since its release on December 5, 2024. The film’s success is a testament to the strong fan following of Allu Arjun and the widespread appeal of the Pushpa franchise.

The film’s journey began with great fanfare, with special premieres held on December 4, 2024, earning ₹10.65 crore. This set the stage for a record-breaking opening day, as the movie earned ₹164.25 crore in India. The Telugu version led with ₹80.3 crore, followed by ₹70.3 crore from the Hindi version. The film’s success spanned across various languages, making it a pan-India sensation.

In the first week, Pushpa 2 continued to dominate, earning ₹725.8 crore. The Telugu version alone brought in ₹242 crore, while the Hindi version earned ₹425.1 crore. Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam versions added ₹41 crore, ₹5.3 crore, and ₹12.4 crore, respectively. These numbers reflect the broad appeal of the movie and Allu Arjun’s star power.

In its second week, the movie earned ₹264.8 crore, maintaining a strong hold at the box office despite the usual drop in footfall after an explosive opening. The Hindi version again led with ₹196.5 crore, followed by ₹53.4 crore from the Telugu version. Other language contributions were relatively smaller.

By the third week, Pushpa 2 saw a decline in its collections, earning ₹129.5 crore. The Hindi version remained the top performer with ₹103.05 crore, while the Telugu version contributed ₹22.82 crore. The Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam versions earned less, indicating a natural drop in interest.

In the fourth week, the film earned ₹69.65 crore, with the Hindi version contributing ₹53.75 crore. The Telugu version saw a significant drop, earning only ₹13.54 crore. By the fifth week, the earnings fell further to ₹25.25 crore, with the Hindi version leading again at ₹19.45 crore.

As of now, Pushpa 2 has earned ₹1,223 crore across all languages. The Hindi version is the biggest contributor, with ₹804.53 crore, followed by ₹338.09 crore from the Telugu version. Despite the decline in collections, the film is expected to end its box office run with a total of around ₹1,250 crore.
