Rajinikanth was last seen as Annaatthe which was released in Telugu as Peddanna. The film turned out to be a huge disaster at the box office much to the disappointment of all his fans.
But that has not stopped Rajinikanth from signing films. Rumors have it that Rajinikanth loved the story narrated by Nelson Dilip Kumar and he gave the green signal.
Anirudh Ravichander will be scoring music for the film. In between, rumors spread that Rajinikanth will retire permanently owing to his ill health but that has not happened and he will very soon start this new film.
