The novel virus wreaked havoc on the showbiz industry among others where the filming of television and films came to a standstill. For over three-months, no shoots were carried out until the unlock 1.0 happened. Although normalcy has started trickling in with few shoots happening here and there, many are yet dreading to step out with rising COVID cases. Amidst this grim times, some of the films from Penguin to the latest Krishna and His Leela to Bhanumathi and Ramakrishna had an OTT release as theaters are likely to remain shut for another few months.
With digital streaming emerging as the new space, ask actress Rakul Preet Singh, if she would like to venture into OTT platform, she says that she would love to explore the field unless a path-breaking subject comes up. Explaining further, she says, “OTT is something that I’ve always been open to. If you do digital, you reach a whole section of the audience that don’t necessarily come to theatres, who have grown up on content from the west. So if something really path-breaking comes, I’m definitely open to it.”
On the work front, she has slew of films in the pipeline from Indian 2 to Sivakarthikeyan’s Ayalaaan and Chandrasekhar Yeleti’s film. She also has few Bollywood films from Attack to Arjun Kapoor’s untitled flick.
