Ravanasura Movie Revie
Ravanasura is Ravi Teja’s new film which has been directed by Sudheer Varma. The film has been released today and read on to see if the film has any juice in it or not.

Plot

Ravindra(Ravi Teja) is a lawyer who works with Kanakam(Faria Abdullah). One fine day, a girl comes to their office and asks them to take up a murder case. Kanakam has no interest as she fears the big shots. But Ravindra forces her to take up the case as he has a special interest in it. This is also the time multiple murders rock the city. All these have a connection with Ravindra. Well, what is that, and who is behind these murders is the basic story of the film.

Performances

Ravanasura has fab performances by the entire cast. Ravi Teja leads from the front and does a role that is completely negative. He is amazing as the bad guy and shows intense emotions. His negative streak is nicely captured by the director. Faria Abdullah gets a good role and Megha Akash was nice in a small negative role. Sushanth is very good in his key role but was not used properly. Anu Emanuel is wasted in her role. Rao Ramesh was routine and Sampath is wasted. Jayaram was neat as the top cop but the film is dominated by Ravi Teja.

Analysis

Ravi Teja is doing back-to-back films and is trying something new with each passing movie. Here in Ravanasura, he plays a negative role and he was so impressive. His role gave him so much scope to perform and this also forms the main crux of the story. It is routine but has been given a different treatment by Sudheer Varma.

The way the hero goes about his revenge is showcased in a gruesome manner. But why he has to rape the heroine is the big question. There is no proper flashback episode that shows the hero got hurt by the bad guys. Everything happens in a flash and that is the reason, Ravanasura falls flat in many areas.

The songs are forgettable and the BGM is not good. There is no thrill that is created. Jayaram plays the cop and his role and interaction look way too silly. The film is filled with such scenes that do not create any impact. Ravanasura could have been much better if it had proper clarity and aim in what it wanted to say.

In all the showcasing of the hero in a negative manner, Sudheer Varma has lost grip on the emotions and made this film look weak. You will like a few scenes and Rai Teja’s performance but that does not make you get excited throughout the film as it lands in no man’s land.

Bottom Line: Nothing great

2.5/5
