With raising number of fake news, Telangana officials are leaving no stone unturned to act soon and curb the situation before it incites communal tension. In such case, Cyberabad police booked a retired Army Major, Neelam Singh, for posting a fake news on social media.
The Army Major goes by the name “theskindoctort13” on social media, has crated a fake news by taking a clipping of Deccan Chronicle and editing it by writing, ‘Cyberabad police bans the sale of Oranges in the city’ and also attached the morphed photo of Cyberabad Police Commissioner VS Sajjanar.
However, the retired Army Personnel said that he threw a satire on the police and not a fake news.
