Indian films rarely win Oscars and many are waiting for that day when a proper Indian-made film wins the Oscars. Time and again, many Indian films get nominated but do not win any Oscar.
This time also, a Malayalam film called Jallikattu was nominated but could not enter the main race of 15. Of these selected fifteen films, five are nominated and then one will be announced as the best International film. Feature films from 93 countries were eligible in the category.
