Ali Abbas Zafar’s Bharat is al set for Edi release, June 5. Starring Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif and Disha Patani, the makers are busy in promotions. The film has been in the news even before it went on floors, thanks to Priyanka Chopra. Even now, PeeCee is making headlines. During the song launch of Zinda, Salman had abruptly said “Thank you, Priyanka!” right after Katrina Kaif’s answer on being asked how she got on board.
While many assumed it as a direct jibe at Priyanka who had walked out of the film in the last minute, Salman had opened about it. He said, “Thank you, Priyanka! I will always be thankful to her. Bharat was about to go on the floors and just five days before the shooting, Priyanka meets me and says that she wouldn’t be able to work in the film. Now, if Priyanka hadn’t left Bharat, how could we have brought Katrina on board?”
Salman goes on to laud Priyanka for her decision stating, “While many would give anything for the film or maybe even leaving their husband, Priyanka left the film.” He also revealed that the makers of the film were willing to adjust the dates but Priyanka had ‘just come to deliver the news and in no way would get convinced’.
