Senior filmmaker Siva Nageswara Rao expressed anger against senior star Suman for insensitive behavior. He spoke this during the the pre-release function of the upcoming movie titled ‘NataRatnalu’ which was held recently in Hyderabad.
Starring Sudarshan, Inaya Sultana, Rangasthalam Mahesh and Arjun Tej in the lead roles, ‘NataRatnalu’ is being directed by Siva Nagu.
Touted to be a murder mystery with elements of crime and suspense, the film is being produced by Dr. Divya and Supreme Babu under the banner of Everest Entertainments.
Former TDP MLA Yarapathineni Srinivasa Rao was present as the chief guest. Divyavani, Dr. Padma and Chikoti Praveen among others took part in the programme.
Speaking on the occasion, Yerapatineni Srinivasa Rao said, “In the past, I attetnded a few audio functions. Over a lakh people attended the function of ‘Intlo Illalu Vantintlo Priyuralu’ which was held in Kurnool. But I didn’t like that movie. I like films like ‘Samara Simha Reddy’, ‘Narasimha Naidu’ and ‘Mirchi’. My best wishes to this film ‘Nata Ratnalu'”
Director Shivanagu said, “Many who enter the film industry face a lot of difficulties. I am the one who crossed them all. This is a movie made with such a good theme. It will be a success. I made 14 pictures at the box office. No film has caused any loss to producers. They help me a lot. Lately, no one is cooperating with the functions of small films. I have invited a hero with whom I have done three films in the past to this ceremony. When I called him, he told me to speak to his assistant. After ten days, his make-up man picked up my call and said, ‘The actor will come to the audio function if you pay him Rs 2 lakhs’. So do we need to hire actors for audio releases? He is none other than senior actor Suman. Heroes on the silver screen are made by directors. I felt sad after hearing this from Suman. The industry has slipped into such apathy.”
Other actors in the film include Archana, Srutilaya, Suman Shetty, Tiger Seshadri, Chanti, Atluri Prasad, Khammam Satyanarayana, Surya Kiran, MNR Chaudhary, Nallamala Ranjith Kumar, Khammam Ravi, Shiny, Satellite Amarendra and Master Rithvik in key roles.
