Journalist Swetha Reddy has supported the sensational comments made by TS Police Academy Director VK Singh against Telangana police. Addresing the media on Thursday, Director VK Singh slammed TS police for failing to have humanitarian ground while interacting with the commoners. He goes on to add that the police training academies including Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy are turning into dumping grounds.
“About 90 per cent criminals are from a poor background and some of them not even aware as to why they were arrested,” said VK Singh. He further added, “Though I could not bring changes in the society, I hope to change the training”.

Inline with Director VK Singh sensational comments, journalist Swetha Reddy issued a video which is now doing the rounds on social media. In the video, Swetha expresses that apathy shown by Banjalara Hills SI Prashant Bhushan for harassing a 16-year-old maid only on the latter’s owner gave a complaint of the disappearance of Rs 2000. She also added that she questioned the CI Kaling Rao on the reason of arresting the girl and harassing her when it is not proven she is guilty. She ends the video by stating Telangana police to help the public rather than being other way round.
