Actress Taapsee Pannu is a name to reckon with after delivering smashing performance in Pink and needless to say she is a big shot in the South industry. But to put this aside, the actress spilled beans to a leading daily on her struggle in Bollywood and including find a house for herself in Mumbai among others.
Talking about nepotism, Taapsee asserts, “There are so many times our presence is not valued as much as a star kid’s presence even though they haven’t earned that space which people like us have slogged for. We have worked from scratch to be where we are. Despite that, we are very easily taken out of a project, and that hurts.”
We all know hoe difficult it is to find a house in city of dreams and we assume it falls easy for an actress. But this isn’t true. “As a single person in Mumbai, I had trouble finding houses. Nobody wanted to give their apartment to a single working girl, that too an actress. They said things like, ‘Struggling actors aajaate hain aur unke paas paise nahin hote hain’. I had the toughest time trying to convince them that I had the money to pay my rent,” she said.
On the work front, the actress has slew of movies lined up, which are; Dil Juunglee, Mulk and Soorma.
