Shaakuntalam is Gunasekhar’s biggest film to date. He has invested 50 crores in the film and roped in Samantha as the main lead. The film was released last Friday and ended as a flop.
There are no post-release promotions as well for the film. Everyone related to the film has gone into hiding. Dil Raju is nowhere to be seen in the media and is not talking about Shaakuntalam.
Gunasekhar will lose big money with this film and Dil Raju has cleverly made some money out of this film. Samantha’s stardom has taken a beating and she is being trolled big time.
The film’s poor VFX, 3D, and bad narration hampered the run of the film. Gunasekhar has lost his touch clearly and needs to think properly about his next film.
