Tiger Nageswara Rao Review Its far from being a hit and barely reaches a passing g

Mass MahaRaja has high hopes for his period action drama Tiger Nageswara Rao, which is based on a real-life character. Let’s explore what the movie is all about.

Story:

An intelligence bureau officer, Raghavendra Rajput (Anupam Kher), becomes obsessed with the notorious criminal Tiger Nageswara Rao (Ravi Teja), who challenges to rob the Prime Minister’s office. Tiger Nageswara Rao is a dangerous thief from the Stuartpuram area and the most wanted criminal in Andhra Pradesh. What drives him to plan this daring heist and what his life story is, and what eventually happens to him form the crux of the story.

Performances:

Ravi Teja gives his best effort as Tiger Nageswara Rao, but the story doesn’t do justice to his performance. The movie falls into the trap of typical hero roles. Other actors like Nupur Sanon, Gayathri Bharadwaj, and Renu Desai have roles that don’t leave a strong impact. Anupam Kher’s talent is underutilized.

Technical Aspects:

The story lacks originality and relies on clichéd elements. Heroic moments feel like imitations of recent blockbusters. The background music is forgettable, and the songs only extend the runtime. The second half becomes tedious with repetitive sequences. Editing and VFX work could have been far better.

Analysis:

The film starts well but loses its charm in the second half due to excessive violence. It deviates from the expected raw and thrilling narrative. Forced love tracks and unnecessary elements dilute the plot. Tiger Nageswara Rao fails to live up to the hype as a unique thriller based on a true story. The main story unfolds in the second half itself, introducing the real Tiger Nageswara Rao, but it quickly transforms into a standard action drama. The second half tests one’s patience with tiresome and predictable sequences throughout. Not a single episode or dialogue feels fresh in this rehashed Robinhood tale. From the repetitive back-and-forth narrative of flashbacks to the students’ torture by the villain, the corrupt CI, and the villain’s political influence, everything appears lifeless.

The movie becomes even more challenging to watch due to numerous senseless scenes. For instance, the hero is credited with improving the infrastructure in the area, but it’s done by the police to catch him more easily, which doesn’t make much sense.

In an already prolonged drama with a monotonous storyline and routine scenes, the songs become an additional source of frustration. Both the songs and background music fall flat. Despite the hype surrounding Tiger Nageswara Rao’s intelligence, none of the robberies display cleverness.

Overall, Tiger Nageswara Rao is a monotonous action drama that tests your patience with a predictable narrative and lackluster execution.

Pros:

– Ravi Teja’s performance

Cons:

– Weak storyline
-Unimpressive songs and background music
– Dragged second half

Bottomline:

Tiger Nageswara Rao falls short of expectations and becomes a test of patience. It’s far from being a hit and barely reaches a passing grade.

Rating: 2/5
