Varun Tej’s latest film Valmiki has been launched on Sunday. The regular shoot will begin next month. But, interestingly, Varun is playing not a hero, but a villain in the film. Yes, he is playing a baddie. In fact, the film is a remake of Tamil hit Jigarthanda and hero is Siddharth, while Varun will play the role that has changed the life of Bobby Simha.
In Jigarthanda, Bobby Simha has a phenomenal entry. His entry is with the burning of a person in the fields. Whether Varun is able to match with Bobby Simha remains to be seen. As of now, he has grown a beard like Bobby Simha.
As of now, it is not clear as to who will play the role played by Siddharth. The script and the screenplay of the film too could change to suit the Telugu audience’s tastes. Harish Shankar is directing the film and he is known to change the script to suit local tastes.
