After the failure of Dear Comrade, hero Vijay Deverakonda decided to stop experimenting with offbeat films for a while and signed an out and out commercial entertainer which will be helmed by dashing director Puri Jagannath. This project will be bankrolled by Puri and Charmme.

Touted to be titled as Fighter, the regular shoot of this film will commence by the end of this year. Rumors on the film’s story have been circulating ever since the project was announced. It was initially reported that Vijay will be seen as a martial arts trainer with a stuttering disability.

Now, we hear that he will be seen as the son of a ruthless don. Apparently, a senior actor will play the role of a don in the film. Currently, Puri is busy in casting that senior actor and also the heroines of the film. More details about the project are expected to be announced soon.
