Vijay Deverakodna is in the best phase of his career. The actor’s image got catapulted in the league of Tollywood biggies, will be next romancing with Raashi Khanna. The untitled flick is helmed by Kranthi Madhav of Malli Malli Idi Rani Roju and produced by K.S. Rama Rao.

Apparently, Raashi was not the first choice for the makers. The team did many auditions to zero in for the lead actress but everything went vain as they couldn’t find a suitable girl. And finally, Raashi Khanna got selected who is also in the purple patch. The film’s shoot would commence from next month and is based on true-life incidents. The female role has equal weight as to the lead hero.
“Director Kranthi Madhav is coming up with a story that is based on some real-life incidents and the female lead is as powerful as the lead actor,” a source said.
Meanwhile, Vijay Deverakonda is awaiting the release of Geetha Govindam, which is scheduled on August 15, starring Rashmika Mandanna. A video clip featuring Vijay Deverakodna and Rashmka Mandanna having a liplock is going viral. The clip from Geetha Govindam shows the couple travelling in a bus and it is the actress who dares to smooch Vijay first. The smooch clip also seems to be inspired from Bollywood flick Shuddh Desi Romance, which has Parineeti Chopra and Sushant Singh Rajput. While the context in both the film might be different but the exact scene which happens in a bus seems to be inspired from the Bollywood film.
