It’s quite common for the film crew to catch the pulse of the audience on the first day of a film’s release. From star directors like SS Rajamouli to newbies in the industry, everyone wants to go to theatres and watch the reaction of audiences. ‘Virupaksha’ director Karthik Varma Dandu too thought of enjoying the show in a theatre in the city.
Surprisingly, his cell phone went missing after he came out of the theatre. It is learnt that it was stolen by some miscreants in the theatre. While watching the movie, it was fine, but after coming out of the movie, director Karthik’s phone has gone missing.
On the other hand, the film’s producer Bapineedu, who went to watch the movie in the same theater, too faced a bitter experience. Someone in the mob has stolen his wallet.
‘Virupaksha’ is released amid good expectations at the box office. The film is getting a good response from day one. The word of mouth is also very good and the movie is heading towards becoming a blockbuster.
Starring Sai Dharam Tej and Samyuktha Menon in the lead roles, the film was released in theatres on April 21.
