Anil Ravipudi is the latest of the directors to take to comedy genre as fish takes to water. He is in the league of Jandhyala, EVV and Srinu Vytla during his heydays. Anil is known to mix comedy, action and emotions in the most judicious manner possible. Hence, directors are now vying with one another to work with him. This Sankranthi, his F2 was the biggest commercial success pipping past big ticket films like Kathanayakudu and VV Rama.
The buzz in the Film Nagar is that hero Balakrishna called him and asked him to come up with a good story. In fact, Anil Ravipudi was to work with Balayya in the beginning of his career. He wrote a story titled ‘Ramarao Garu,’ and had Balakrishna in the cast. The film went to the sets, but was later shelved. Now, he is all set to work with Balayya Babu now.
Sources say Anil Ravipudi discussed Rama Rao Garu script with Balayya Babu. Another script too had come up for discussion. Balayya is now busy with Mahanayakudu and then will work on two projects simultaneously – one with Anil and the other with Boyapati.
