Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Kabir Singh has become on of the highest grosser film of 2019 with lifetime collections at Rs 276 crore. The film was sure a blockbuster but it was panned by the critics, film fraternity and section of audience for its misogynist, sexist with certain scenes in the film. While, Sandeep and the lead actor Shahid Kapoor has earlier justified their version, Kaira has now opened up about Kabir Singh criticism.
Kaira has said, “Personally, I may not agree with certain scenes and they may make me uncomfortable. But those things were there to also make you uncomfortable as his character [Kabir Singh] was flawed. I didn’t look at him like a hero.” She further added, “It’s good that it was debated upon and I leave it at that. I looked at it as a film and a fictional story, wherein nobody is telling you to be like any of them. I have moved on now.” Looks like the problematic execution of some scenes have followed the cast to the sets of the next films as well! On the work front, Kaira will be seen in Good Newwz.
