Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) will soon be called as Public Transport Department (PTD” Andhra Pradesh chief minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy has merged APSRTC with the AP government. Now to take further measures about the APSRTC a six-member committee has been formed to examine and suggest the modalities for the merger of APSRTC establishment with the AP government.
The committee would work on the methodology to create PTD in order to facilitate the merger of APSRTC employees into the government of AP. The committee will also look into: Cadre of all employees (including contract) of APSRTC into equivalent cadres and pay them scales of State government employees. It would also look into the procedure for taking over the establishment of APSRTC employees by APCFMS to make payment of wages every month through the government. Methodology to utilise the employees of PTD in APSRTC including deputation to other departments, corporations and undertakings of government.
