When the first proposal for NTR biopic came about, the producers were Sai Korrapati and Vishnu Induri. It was they who approached Balayya with the proposal. Balayya joined the project as co-producer and later went on to become the producer and the other two became co-producers. So, Kathanayakudu had Balayya and his wife Vasundhara as producers. Later, the one part film became a two-part project.
Sai and Vishnu were partners only for the first project and got their share from the film’s business. The second part is entirely produced by Balayya and the rights would be sold for free. In effect, Balayya Babu would get nothing from the film.
If Sai and Vishnu were the producers and Balayya just an actor, the producers would have had to face the consequences and Balayya would have walked away with remuneration. What more, Balayya is giving the rights for Part II without charging even a penny. Isn’t all this more interesting than the film itself?
