Bheemla Nayak Movie Review

Bheemla Nayak is the biggest film to release this year and is much-awaited as it has Pawan Kalyan and Rana in lead roles. Read our review to find out if the film has any juice in it or not.

Plot

Bheemla Nayak (Pawan Kalyan) is a small time SI who arrests a egoistic person named Daniel Sekhar (Rana Daggubati). Less did he know that Daniel Sekhar will change his life upside down by leaking a small clip of Pawan Kalyan serving alcohol on duty. This creates so much tension between Bheemla Nayak and Daniel Sekhar and this creates a major rift between them. How will win this egoistic war is the story of Bheemla Nayak.

Performances

Pawan Kalyan is true to his character and does not go overboard in his role. The manner in which he shows subtle emotions in the first half looks weird but it’s actual power is shown only in the latter part. Pawan’s body language and mass avatar during this time will be loved by the fans.

Rana is the biggest plus of the film. In so many scenes he has even dominated Pawan Kalyan with his screen presence and attitude. He is a perfect choice for Daniel Sekhar and Rana breathes fire into his character. Nithya Menen also gets a good role as Pawan’s wife but she overacts for no reason. Samyukta Menon is very neat and has good acting capabilities.

Analysis

Bheemla Nayak is the official remake of the hit Malayalam movie Ayyappanum Koshiyum. Trivikram has written the screenplay and he has made ample changes that work for the fans. The film is a serious drama and depends on how the egos of the main leads operate.

The issues in both the characters are brought in right from the first scene onwards. There is no time waste and director Sagar Chandra comes right to the point. But after this, the film slows down as there is nothing much that happens apart from the confrontation scenes.

Speaking of them, Trivikram has written dialogues in such a way that the fans will have a blast. Upon this, Thaman has made sure that his BGM elevates the proceedings to the next level. The interval bang and climax are quite effective.

The film has a simple story and there are no major twists or turns. So, don’t go in with over expectations or looking for great entertainment. The film is devoid of all that but is a very intense drama that has some performances and slick narration. Box office-wise, the film will hold quite well as the fans will love this film.

Bottom Line – Less Entertainment – Solid Drama
