Chimayi Sripaada always sets record straight and has been relentlessly voicing against sexual abuse of women and sensitizing netizens on social issues. However, in her fight she often has witnessed slandering comments passed against her. This time however Chinmayi rather than hitting back at the trolls has approached Chennai police after she received rape and murder threats. Sharing the tweet and tagging the police officials, she wrote, I am sick and tired of these graphic rape threats everyday, day in and day out. I get rape calls, rape threats and authorities tell me to take it easy. I will file a case and follow procedure if you can please find this guy and send him to jail”.

Chimayi also #MeToo activist has been raising her voice against the abusers. In fact, she had also faced repercussions for naming lyricist Vairamuthu as a sexual predator. She had faced a backlash from Tamil dubbing union back then. Despite many challenges, Chinmayi has never given up on her fight in calling out the sexual predators.
