Sarkar Row: AR Murugadoss To Get Arrested
The ruling AIADMK has expressed contempt against Murugadoss and his film Sarkar for showing the ruling government in bad taste and demanded to remove certain scenes from the film that are anti against them. Earlier, in the day MLA VV Rajan Chellappa staged a protest in front of a theatre demanding to stop the screening of Sarkar. “Our lawyers have also filed a complaint with the commissioner of police in Madurai to order the theatres to not screen the movie in Madurai. Our demand is that till the controversial scenes that insult government schemes, our former Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa and the scenes that instigate violence are removed, the film must not be screened, he added.
On the other side, a person going by the name G Devarajan lodged a complaint against Murugadoss for throwing away some properties in the scene,. “It pained me to watch the scene in which AR Murugadoss threw the free mixie and grinders into the fire in the movie Sarkar. The things that he threw into the fire were properties (symbols) of the government. This scene was shot with an intention to insult Tamil Nadu government,” he added. Meanwhile, the Murugadoss arrest news has spread like a wildfire on Twitter with many shocked and some tweeted saying “we stand with you #murugadoss”.
