India Won The ODI Series 5-1 Against South Africa

IndVirat Kohli led from the front as India displayed an all-round performance to humble South Africa by eight wickets in the sixth and final One-Day International (ODI) at Centurion. They won the series 5-1.

The Indian captain played magnificently en route his 35th ODI hundred, which in turn helped the visitors overhaul the target in just 32.1 overs.

The Indian captain was ably supported by Shikhar Dhawan (18) and Ajinkya Rahane (34), with whom he strung together a 50-run partnerships respectively.

Earlier, Shardul Thakur made his first appearance in the series count with a four-wicket haul as India yet again choked the South African batsmen, dismissing them for a below-par 204. Playing in place of Bhuvneshwar Kumar, who was rested, Thakur (4/52) registered his best figures in ODI cricket in this third match.

Spinners Kuldeep Yadav (1/51) and Yuzvendra Chahal (2/38) finished with 33 wickets together in this six-match series. Ondo top-scored for the Proteas with a 74-ball 54, laced with three boundaries and two sixes on a good batting track.
