Actor Mahesh Babu has finally cleared his pending dues by paying out Rs 31 lakhs to the GST department. The Maharshi ctor sent a DD of Rs 31,47,994 through his auditor. A day ago, the GST issued notice and series Mahesh’ two bank accounts for pending due to the tune of Rs 73.5 lakh. Following this, it recovered Rs 42.96 lakh from his ICICI and Axis account.
Mahesh Babu Clears Tax Dues
Interrnglty, Mahesh issued a press note stating that there is no tax obligation on his part, stating, he is a law-abiding citizen complying with all fiscal legislation and has no undisputed tax payable. “The GST Commissionerate Hyderabad has attached the bank accounts for a disputed tax demand of Rs. 18.5 lakh claiming Rs. 73.5 lakh towards Tax interest and the penalty for brand ambassador services rendered in FY 2007-08 which was not taxable service,” his legal team said.
However, Mahesh who is in Dubai along with family to ring in the New Year has solved the issue amicably., After refuting the things, Mahesh cleared up his pending dues.
