Superstar Mahesh Babu last seen in Sarileru Neekevvaru tasted box-office hit. Post that, he is collaborating with Geetha Govindam fame Parasuram Petla for Sarkaru Vaari Pata. The title announcement and first look was unveiled on senior actor Krishna’s birthday. The first look and title was received with huge response from the audience sending Mahesh’s fans into a tizzy.
Apart from this, Mahesh also has interesting project in the pipeline, where he is producing film – Major starring Adivi Sesh under his home production G Mahesh Babu Entertainment (GMB). Now reports are in that makers have approached Renu Desai to play a pivotal role in the film. While Renu seems to have been impressed by her role but she is yet to sign on the dotted lines. If all goes well, then this will be her first Telugu project after her separation from Pawan Kalyan. She was in fact supposed to make her comeback in Tollywood with film Tiger Nageswara Rao, which was to be directed by Vamsi Krishna of Dongata fame. She was roped in to play Tiger Nageswara Rao’s older sister, but the film got shelved due to remuneration issues over the lead actors.
Coming back to Major, the film is being produced in collaboration with Sony Pictures which is based on the life of Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan, Ashoka Chakra, National Security Guard (NSG) commando, who lost his life during 26/11 attack at the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel in Mumbai. The film will be directed by Shashi Kiran Tikka, who had directed Goodachari.
