Nagarjuna Opens Up About Crisis in Film Industry
The two big films Kuberaa and Coolie are currently making a lot of buzz in the Telugu states. These films are especially generating curiosity because King Nagarjuna is a part of them alongside superstar Dhanush and Rajinikanth.
Nagarjuna is currently busy promoting Kuberaa. During an interview with Galatta Plus, he made some thoughtful comments about the film industry. The actor was asked about the growing talk that the Hindi film industry is struggling, while South films are growing in popularity.
Nagarjuna responded, “These stories keep changing. It’s kind of like when an actor or a filmmaker goes through a tough patch. Some films may not do well at the box office, but that doesn’t mean the industry is failing as a whole.” He further explained that many films from popular actors and directors have collectively underperformed, which is fueling these rumors.
He also opened up about his own view on the future of the Telugu film industry. “In my experience, the industry goes through slumps from time to time. I think we are currently heading toward a fourth slump. This usually happens when there are no major film releases for a while or when the few films that do release do not perform well. I have a strong feeling we may soon face another difficult period.”
