Needed heroine for Siddhu Jonnalagadda

Siddhu Jonnalagadda’s attempts to become a proper commercial hero went in vain after the release of Guntur Talkies. It did more damage to him as people started viewing him as a soft porn star. He had co-written Guntur Talkies (2016), with director Praveen Sattaru. “The film made money, but it didn’t pay me back in kind. So I took a sabbatical to think about what I needed to do. Every actor needs one film that showcases his capabilities best,” he said in an interview to a daily when asked if worthwhile opportunities have been tough to come by. He did his best to shed that image and finally Krishna And His Leela released and he is being flooded by similar roles. Producers are looking at making small budget films with him and aiming to release it on OTT platforms.

There is a platter of films Siddhu looks forward to. Next up is debut director Aditya’s  Maa Vinthagaadha Vinuma where he speaks Telangana dialect, a thriller directed by Ajay Bhuyan, a film produced by Madhura Sreedhar to be directed by Vimal and the Telugu remake of Queen titled Mahalakshmi where he reprises the part of Rajkumar Rao.
