Opinion: All focus on the CBI now

The CBI is back to Mumbai from Delhi the second time and it will reportedly probe the Sushant Singh murder case from a ‘murder angle’. The suicide theory has now been ruled out thanks to the leak by AIIMS director Sudheer Gupta, the CBI has saved itself from embarrassment, it has not given any official statement. So technically and theoretically there are no official conclusive statements by either AIIMS or the CBI. They are meticulously looking into every angle, before commenting on the report.

All focus on the CBI now Beginning today there will be questioning of the actor’s staff and also the new witnesses who claim to have seen Sushant drop Rhea off on the 13th June which could be a crucial piece of evidence. What is baffling is the CBI’s silence, after so many weeks of interrogation and repeated requests by a few people on the television that they are willing to reveal information on Disha Salian, they are not summoning them for questioning. Meanwhile the ED and CBI have gathered sufficient evidence in their respective areas but are not commenting on the reports. Time and again the media has been saying that there is a direct link between the two deaths and it is where the entire secrets lie. Meanwhile it was a bad day for SSR fans, Rhea got bail but her problems are far from over. It could only get worse. The media played a big role in gathering information, evidence and also unmasking Dr Sudheer Gupta. Had it not been for the media, the case would have been closed by now. People are vexed with the delay, they want to know if the CBI will continue to summon people and kill time or if they will take concrete action in busting the suicide theory.
