Plot

The film has a predictable and old school story. Sadanand(Satyadev) is a guy who hates sound. On the other hand, Siresha(Priya Lal) is a girl who loves music. They happen to become neighbors in Hyderabad. One fine day, due to some disturbance, they start talking behind their closed walls from their connected flats. This develops into a deep bond. But as destiny has other plans, the love story has problems. What problems do they face to unite is the film’s story.

Actors and Performances

Satyadev is an actor who can make any role look good on him. The same he does with this film as well. He is endearing in his role and even though it is over the top, Satyadev makes it look relatable with his sincere performance. Heroine Priya Lal is also good in her role but she could not elevate the emotions much in the last part of the film which was quite needed. Rahul Ramakrishna sleepwalks in his role of a mechanic and whenever his track comes up on the screen, you get irritated. Priyadarshi has this charm to ooze comedy and he does well in his part. The rest of the supporting cast just ham to no extent.

Analysis

Guvva Gorinka has been inspired by Vamsi’s Avunu Vallu Istapaddaru. In that film also the lead pair don’t each other. But there is so much logic involved in the way they stay in the same house and converse. But in Guvva Gorinka, the lead pair talk to each other in a crazy manner. Now, who in 2020 talks behind closed walls laving all the technology. They have absolutely no restriction to hide but still don’t see each other. The manner in which they fall in love also looks silly. The director does not have anything to do for the first one hour and this is the time he induces silly comedy.
Guvva Gorinka
After dragging the story for one hour, the couple falls in love but that is also not conveyed well in the story. The climax portion, conversation, and emotions fall apart boring the audience. The music is good but the songs spoil the flow. The direction is a big minus as the proceedings only give you a Deja Vu kind of a feel. Such is the situation with all the scenes and emotions in the film. in a nutshell, Guvva Gorinka is a film that has old-school narration and forced romance. There is not one episode that is worth mentioning and such films should be left alone like that.
