RGV reacts to Pranay’s father petition for ‘Murder’

Controversy’s favourite child, Ram Gopal Varma has announced a flick, Murder which is based on honor killing of Pranay Kumar at Nalgonda that happened in 2018. Now, a petition has been filed by Pranay Kumar’s father Balaswamy asking for a stay on the film who also filed a case on RGV and the producer. The Rangeela director has now responded the petition through a series of tweets where he said that the case is filed on ‘uninformed speculations’ adding that the film is ‘based on and inspired by the true incident’ and its not the truth.

RGV tweeted, “With regard to media speculations on the case filed on my film MURDER ,I once again want to reiterate that my film is based and inspired from a true incident and it is not the truth ..Also there’s no mention of anyone’s caste in the film.”  In another tweet, he wrote,  “With regard to the case filed on the basis of uninformed speculations,our advocates will give an appropriate reply as required by law.” To be helmed by Anand Chandra, it is produced by Natti Karuna and Natti Kranthi.

Speaking about the case, the police officials have said, “Pranay’s father Balaswamy has filed a petition in Nalgonda Court stating that the film will affect the on-going trial of Pranay’s murder case and the film should be stalled. We’ve registered a case under relevant section of SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Amendment Act and taken up the investigation.”
