In a major setback to Telugu Desam Party (TDP) in Telangana, its legislator Sandra Venkat Veeraiah joins TRS party asserting over the development schemes and welfare programmes brought into action by the TRS party. Veeraiah from Sathupalli constituency in Khammam district had called on TRS President and chief minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao on Saturday about his decision.
Earlier, Congress also got a big jolt after with two of its MLAs defecting to TRS party. Rega Kantha Rao and Athram Sakku said that they would go for fresh elections again from their respective constituencies. The elections are scheduled on March 12 for the six Council seats.
