Senior Actresses vs Newcomers: Who’s Leading Tollywood?

In recent times, Tollywood has seen many young actresses rise to fame. Newcomers like Sreeleela, Bhagyashree Borse, Rukmini Vasanth, and Kayadu Lohar are getting many film offers and working continuously. Meanwhile, some well-known senior actresses like Pooja Hegde, Rashi Khanna, Samantha, Rakul Preet Singh, Shruti Haasan, and Keerthy Suresh are finding fewer chances to work in Telugu movies. Although some of them are still acting in Telugu films, these roles are often smaller or less noticeable compared to earlier.

However, some veteran actresses like Trisha, Tamannaah, and Nayanthara are still active in the industry and getting important roles. Trisha, for example, is starring in big projects like Chiranjeevi’s Vishwambara and Kamal Haasan’s Thug Life. She has worked hard on her looks and now demands higher pay for her roles. Trisha is also in talks for more Telugu movies, which will be announced soon.

Nayanthara, who has mainly focused on Tamil films recently, is returning to Telugu cinema. She acted alongside Chiranjeevi in a film by Anil Ravipudi and is discussing more Telugu projects. She has been accepting lower fees to get these offers.

Tamannaah has had a successful career with many films, web series, and Hindi movies. After finishing Odela 2, she is looking at more Telugu films, demanding good pay, and willing to do glamorous roles. She is expected to appear in 2 to 3 Telugu movies in the next year.

Even with many young actresses making a mark, senior stars like Trisha, Tamannaah, and Nayanthara continue to stay busy and relevant in Telugu cinema.
