Shine Tom Chacko Meets with Tragic Car Accident: Father Passes Away
Malayalam actor Shine Tom Chacko was recently involved in a tragic road accident that claimed the life of his father, C.P. Chacko. The accident took place on the morning of June 6, 2025, near Hogenakkal in the Dharmapuri district of Tamil Nadu.
Shine was travelling with his family — his parents and brother — from Ernakulam to Bengaluru when their car collided with a parked lorry around 7 AM in Palakottai. According to reports, the family had started their journey around 10 PM the previous night.
After the accident, all the family members were immediately taken to a nearby hospital. Sadly, Shine’s father, 70-year-old C.P. Chacko, was declared dead upon arrival due to the severe injuries he sustained. Shine himself suffered injuries on his right hand, while his mother, brother, and the driver sustained minor injuries and are still under medical care.
This incident has deeply shocked fans and the film industry. Shine Tom Chacko is a known face in Malayalam cinema, appreciated for his intense acting. However, the actor has recently been in the news for other reasons too. Just a few weeks ago, he received a warning from FEFKA (Film Employees Federation of Kerala) following misconduct allegations. Actress Vincy Aloshious had claimed Shine behaved inappropriately with her on set, allegedly under the influence of substances. The organization had warned him to improve his behavior or face disciplinary action.
