Late actress Sridevi’s first death anniversary falls on Sunday, February 24. Ahead of it, her family members have decided to auction a handwoven Kota saree of Sridevi. The auction is held via Parisera, a Chennai-based online platform, and the amount would go for a cause. Interestingly, the bid that started at Rs 40,000 has reached up to Rs 1,30,000. Parisera in its description of the saree reads: “It is light, bright and emanates the perfect essence of Sridevi.”

The fund from the auction titled ‘Being Generous, With Sridevi’ would go to Concern India Foundation, which works for the benefit of women, children, differently abled among others. Sridevi, who was in Dubai for a wedding died aged 54 on February 24, 2018, by accidental drowning in a bathtub in a Dubai hotel.
