Star director VV Vinayak is going through a lean patch of his career at this point of time. Apart from Khaidi No: 150 which only worked due to Chiru’s charisma, the director failed to deliver decent his and instead made two biggest duds in his career, Akhil and Intelligent.

This has made many heroes think twice to work with Vinayak. Till the last few days, there was a news that Vinayak is going to work with Balakrishna for a film which is going to be produced by C. Kalyan. But looks like even that project has been called off temporarily as Balayya is keen on working with Boyapati for his next.
Meanwhile, the despised Vinayak has approached Venkatesh to give a last try. Apparently, Venky liked the plot narrated by Vinayak and immediately gave his nod for it. If everything falls by, the film rolls on within a couple of months. Earlier, the duo has worked together for 2006 blockbuster Lakshmi.
