The investigation in connection to the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput is going on. So far, Mumbai police officials have interrogated 27 people which includes two former executives of top banner, Yash Raj Films. The cops have finally got their hands on the contract of YRF with late actor Sushant. According to the contract details, Sushant had signed a three-film deal with them and the remuneration was also cited in the same.
YRF film contract with Sushant
As per the three-film deal, Sushant had, his first film was Shuddh Desi Romance. His second film was second film Detective Byomkesh Bakshy. The third film which was supposed to happen with filmmaker Shekhar Kapur was Paani, but the film got shelved due to creative difference between the maker and the production house. As per the contract details, Sushant remuneration was fixed. He was supposed to get Rs 30 lakhs for the first film and for the second film Rs 60 lakh if the first movie was a hit. But if the first film did not do well, then he would be paid Rs 30 lakh for the second. If first and second films are hit, then he would get Rs 1 Crore for the third film. Similarly, if the first film was hit and the second film flopped, he would be get Rs 30 lakh for the third. If the first movie tanked and second stood hit, he would get Rs 60 lakh for the third.
However, for his first film Sushant was paid Rs 30 lakhs and then for the second hi was given Rs 1 crore, while he was supposed to pay Rs 60 lakhs for the second. When the same was questioned to the YRF executives it remained unanswered.
