Thalapathy Vijay Remuneration of Jana Nayagan
Thalapathy Vijay’s upcoming movie Jana Nayagan is making waves even before its release. According to media reports, the actor has received a massive remuneration of ₹275 crore for the film, making it one of the highest payments for a South Indian actor to date.
Jana Nayagan, a political action thriller directed by H. Vinoth, is slated to release on January 9, 2026. The movie is rumored to be Vijay’s final film before his possible political entry adding to the curiosity surrounding it. Sources claim the actor was paid the full amount upfront without any share in the film’s box office profits.
Previously, Vijay reportedly earned around ₹200 crore for The G.O.A.T.. However, neither the actor nor the production houses have officially confirmed these figures. Actress Mamitha Baiju, who also stars in Jana Nayagan, recently mentioned that Vijay’s future in cinema depends on the outcome of the Tamil Nadu Assembly Elections in 2026.

The first glimpse of the movie titled Jana Nayagan’s First Roar shows Vijay in a powerful police role walking confidently through a chaotic protest. His character is expected to be named Thalapathy Vetri Kondan (TVK), reflecting his political party’s identity.
The film also features a star-studded cast including Pooja Hegde, Bobby Deol, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Prakash Raj, Priyamani, Narain, and Mamitha Baiju. Shruti Haasan is also rumored to play a crucial part in the story.
Music composer Anirudh Ravichander is scoring the soundtrack. Interestingly, Vijay has reportedly sung a track titled One Last Song, marking a musical tribute to his illustrious film journey.
Whether or not Jana Nayagan is truly his final movie remains uncertain, but it has undoubtedly captured the attention of fans and the industry alike.
