Tamil Nadu is rocked with the death of father and son, Jayaraj and Bennix in police custody. The two of them died due to alleged police brutality and the eyewitness narration accounted for the public anger demanding justice for them and seeking action against the police involved in the case. Meanwhile, director Hari who has directed five films glorifying the police has expressed his regretted for doing so.
Talking about the brutality that happened, he wrote, “The Sathankulam incident should not happen to anyone else in Tamil Nadu. The only way for that is to punish all those involved with the highest sentence. The violation by some in the police force has brought dishonour upon the entire force. I am deeply saddened today for having made five films glorifying the police”.
