In shocking news, veteran actress and wife of Superstar Krisha, Vijaya Nirmala, passed away in the wee hours at Continental hospitals, Gachibowli. At the time of her death, she was aged 73.
She was born in Tamil Nadu but went on to rule Telugu cinema decades. Her father was into film production. Vijay Nirmala is not only an actress, producer and director who has helmed over 44 films in Telugu. She also holds Guinness Book of Records as the female director of the most films. She is bestowed with Raghupathi Venkaiah Award for her contributions to Telugu cinema, given to her in 2008.
On the personal front, she got married first time Krishna Murthy. Her son Naresh, an actor is from the first marriage. Later, she got divorced from Krishna Murthy and went on to marry Superstar Krishna.
