Vijayawada floods: Suspicion around three boats:
A recent incident involving boats crashing into the gates of Prakasam Barrage during the Vijayawada floods has sparked concerns. Among the five boats involved, three were tied together with iron chains and were marked with the colors of the YSRCP (Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party). This unusual detail has raised several questions. Typically, boats are not tied together like this, as the risk of losing one boat can easily lead to the others being swept away. Unfortunately, this is what happened during the flood.

Adding to the suspicion is the fact that the boats were secured using a weak plastic rope, which was tied to a tree. A stronger rope could have been used, especially considering the rising floodwaters. Local authorities had warned about the increasing water levels, but these warnings were allegedly ignored, leading to speculation of either carelessness or a more deliberate action.

The boats were tied near the Gollapudi graveyard before drifting and eventually crashing into the Prakasam Barrage. This has led some to wonder if there was any involvement from YSRCP leaders or their followers. There have been unconfirmed reports of followers of former MP Nandigam Suresh being connected to the event, adding a political angle to the ongoing investigation.
In light of the potential risk to public safety and damage to infrastructure, police are conducting a thorough investigation. Their goal is to determine if this incident was the result of sabotage or simply a case of negligence. Given the political tension surrounding this event, the outcome of the investigation will be closely watched. Whether foul play is involved or it was an unfortunate accident, the truth will need to come out soon.
