Thanks to Bhichagadu, Vijay Antony is a household name in Telugu. After Bichagadu, he is seen taking active interest in promoting the Telugu versions of the film. All his films have also been dubbed into Telugu. But, except Bichagadu, none of his other films have done well at the box-office. As a result, his market has gone down considerably.
It has fallen so much that his latest film Roshagadu’s Telugu rights on offer for a paltry Rs 1.5 crore. Now, the buyers want the satellite rights too for the same amount. In other words, they want both Telugu and satellite rights for Rs 1.5 crore.
When the producers refused, the buyers came back without buying the film. They argue that they have to spend at least Rs 50 lakh on publicity. So, they said they cannot give additional amount for the satellite rights. So, Vijay’s market worth in Telugu industry has plummeted so drastically.
