AnteSundaraniki review

Nani is ready with one more new film Ante Sundaraniki which is a comedy family drama. The film is out and read our review to find out if the film has any juice in it or not.

Plot

Sundar(Nani) belongs to a very orthodox Brahmin family. On the other hand, Nazariya is from a well to do Christian family. As expected they fall in love. But scared with the inter religion angle, they make up crazy stories to convince their parents. What is that story and how did it land them in huge trouble is the basic crux of Ante Sundaraniki.

Performances

Nani is the highlight of the film with his hilarious performance. He as the youngster stuck between his family and loved delivers a knockout performance. Nazariya is good for her debut film but she did not get much scope to perform in the first half. But she gets into her own in the second half and is superb. Senior hero Naresh gets a superb role and is very good in his comedy part. Harshvardhan gets a hilarious role and is good.

Analysis

Ante Sundaraniki is about a Hindu boy and Christian girl and this plot is quite old for us. But Vivek Athreya’s plot has a freshness where he brings in two crazy lies as the conflict of the film and they are introduced during the interval time.

But to come to this part, he has chosen a very slow start to the film and bores the audience with the childhood sequences of the lead pair. This bores the audience who feel when will the director egt into the main story. The saving grace of the first half is the breezy comedy that is brought in.

But once the second half starts the main drama and emotions take over and Vivek Sagar and his music and BGM dominate the show. The dots that are started in the beginning are connected well and entertains the audience well by the end.

The film is a classy affair and has elements that cater to clean entertainment making this film a decent watch. One should go prepared for the slow pace and if this aspect is taken care of the film will surely turn enjoyable.

Bottom line slow but enjoyable
