In an unfortunate development, Devadas Kanakala, who had donned many feathers to his hat has passed away today, August 2. The senior artiste breathed his last while undergoing treatment at the KIMS hospital. The Tollywood industry was left in shock over the sudden demise of the artiste. The celebrities have expressed their condolences to Suma Kanakala and Rajiv Kanakala.
Devadas Kanakala, born on July 30, 1945, in Yanam, started his career as a drama director and later became a film director. He is known for establishing an acting Institute in Hyderabad where many stars Rajinikanth, Chiranjeevi, Rajendra Prasad among others have studied here. Kanakala’s grandfather Naidu served as an MLA during the French administration in Yanam.
