Anil Ravipudi is back with F2, a familiar turf – comedy genre for him. The film has been successful in generating right buzz around Sankranti. Considering it that NTR Kathanayakudu and Vinaya Vidheya Rama has been completely water down with concrete plots, chances are high that F2 may emerge as the winner of this festive season. So has Anil Ravipudi has hit six with F2 is to be seen.
Story:
Venky (Venkatesh) wors as a personal assistant to an MLA. One fine day, in an arranged et up he marries Harika (Tamannah). However, soon things go awry and fun turns into frustration for Venky. Similarly, Varun (Varun Tej), a Hyderabadi guy is head over heels with Honey (Mehreen). Soon he takes his relationship to next level getting engaged to Honey, who is the sister of Harika. Venky cations Varun by explaining to him the rigid attitude of the sister and not marry her. However, as the fat has it Varun sidelines Venky and marries Honey. Soon, the respective families keep getting into heated and quarrelsome arguments daily. Subsequently, their neighbour (Rajendra Prasad) advises them to go for Europe trip. How all the four land up in Prakash Raj’s house and what happens thereafter forms the story. Will they part ways or find an amicable solution forms the crux of the story.
Performances:
Victory Venkatesh’s acting prowess is the highlight of the film. Venky proves how good he is at the comic and how many filmmakers failed to use Venky this pat. Varun aced the Telangana accent. although comedy is his first time but it looked refreshing. Meanwhile, the actresses Mehreen and Tamannaah were given enough screen time and were not only up for a glam doll. Other artistes like Rajendra Prasad, Vennela Kishore, Jhansi, Prakash Raj and Priyadarshi helped in the proceedings.
Analysis:
Anil Ravipudi’s F2 is all about nagging women and how men suffer at the hands of them. The film’s plot is apparently regressive as show how the husbands think to escape from their respective wives as they can’t function the hosue wthout them. The entire film is logicless and if you try to find one then only disappointment will be left. Venkatesh delivers one ieners with gerat ease and bring the hosue down. On the flip side, though Varun too has his onli-liner but it seems flat. Both the actresses have meaty stuff but are only seen in sheer sarees or lingerie. Other character artistsedoesn’tnt have much character arc etched out.
