After the demise of Jayalalitha, many filmmakers have announced a biopic on her. Jaya’s life is filled with so many dramatic incidents that will be perfect to make a movie. The films which are being made on her life are Thalaivi, starring Kangana Ranaut and The Iron Lady starring Nitya Menen. On the flip side, ace director Gautham Menen decided to take the story of Jaya on to the digital space as he will have no time or censor constraints. Thus, he started making Queen, a web series based on the life of Jayalalitha. Prasath Murugesan also helmed this series, along with Gautham Menon. Powerhouse performer Ramya Krishna played the lead role in this show.
The teaser of the show got unveiled a while ago and going by it, the show traces the life of Jayalalitha right from her schooling days. The teaser informs us that Jaya was a topper in the school, became a superstar at 18 and also the youngest Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu. Thus, this show will trace Jaya’s educational, film and political journey.
The trailer of Queen will be out on the 5th of this month. It will get streamed exclusively on MX Player app.
