Khushbu’s shocking comments on a star hero:
Khushbu Sundar, a celebrated South Indian actress, recently opened up about the struggles she faced as a newcomer in the film industry. Speaking about women’s safety and respect, she shared an incident where she stood up against inappropriate behavior by a senior actor.
In an interview with Gulte, Khushbu recalled an unsettling moment when a lead actor made an inappropriate remark towards her. Despite being a newcomer, she prioritized her self-respect over potential consequences to her budding career. She revealed, “A hero asked me, ‘Can I get a chance with you in private?’ I immediately held up my slipper and said, ‘I wear size 41. Do you want to be slapped here or in front of the unit?’” Her fearless response made it clear that respect is non-negotiable.
💔 This moment of #MeToo prevailing in our industry breaks you. Kudos to the women who have stood their ground and emerged victorious. ✊ The #HemaCommittee was much needed to break the abuse. But will it?

Khushbu emphasized that women, in any profession, should not hesitate to speak out against mistreatment. She urged women to prioritize their dignity and challenge unjust behavior without fear of repercussions.
This was not the only time Khushbu spoke about the hardships she endured. In a social media post, she revealed being a victim of abuse by her father during her childhood. She admitted it took years to confront her trauma but clarified that her silence was never a compromise for her career. Writing on X (formerly Twitter), she stated, “People ask why I spoke up late about my father’s abuse. I agree I should have spoken earlier, but my silence was not to advance my career. I was betrayed by the person who should have been my strongest support.”
A long time ago, a hero asked if there was a chance for him during the cycle gap. I replied, ‘My chappal size is 41. Should I slap you here or in front of the set?’
