Justice Jitendra Kumar Maheswari has been sworn in as the Chief Justice of Andhra Pradesh High Court by Governor Biswa Bhusan Harichandan in Vijayawada. Justice Jitendra Kumar has taken the position of acting CJ Justice C. Praveen Kumar. The event witnessed justice Praveen Kumar, Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy and Chief Secretary L.V. Subrahmanyam among other dignitaries.
After the ceremony, Justice Maheswari visited Sri Kanaka Durga temple along with his family members. They were received by the executive officer M.V. Suresh Babu and priests Srinivasa Rao and Vishnubhatla Siva Prasad. After the bifurcation, Andhra Pradesh was given a separate High Court on January 1 this year.
